Proofreading
The flagship tool of PowerWord is the ability to proofread your text with stunning accuracy while changing little to none of your actual prose.
AI proofreading is not about creativity so much as it is about the mechanics of the sentence written onto the page.
How to Proofread
PowerWord AI makes proofing your text and chapters a breeze. Simply copy and paste your chapter text into the Original content window, select the Proofread option, and click the [Process] button.
Within seconds, PowerWord’s AI processes your text with all of the necessary corrections.
Selecting the [Compare] button will show you all of the corrections PowerWord’s AI made to your text. You can then review and edit whatever changes the AI made to your text.
Once you’re satisfied with the results, you can either:
Edit out the changes of the highlighted text,
Or if you want to accept all changes, just click the [Copy] button to copy the text to your clipboard and paste it back into your manuscript.
Tips
- The lower the [Creative] control setting, the less PowerWord will attempt to alter your prose. Proofreading should be done at a very low creative setting.
- PowerWord does not typically account for footnotes or other special characters in your text.
- PowerWord attempts to preserve any italics or bold text. However, if the AI removed or changed this text in some way, this formatting may not be entirely preserved.
